Yes. Merchant rates are listed in the app so you can compare before you go. Merchants set their own rates and update them as needed.

Limits can vary by country based on local rules. The app will show your current daily and per‑transaction limits, plus any ID requirements for larger amounts.

Apply directly in the ZAR app. You only need a smartphone. Freelancers who regularly receive dollars from abroad and community members who handle remittances may also qualify. Becoming a merchant helps improve local access to dollars in your area.

Your shop appears on the ZAR in‑app map, which can drive new foot traffic from nearby users. As you complete verification and build a positive transaction history, your visibility can increase, helping more customers discover your store (and any other products or services you offer).
